The Artistic Director

Shrinkhala is the brain child of Ms. Tanushri Roy. After having completed her masters from leading Indian institutes of dance and music, she has performed in prestigious festivals all over India and represented India in numerous countries. These include the United Kingdom, The United States, Mexico, China, Canada, Bangladesh, UAE, Sri-Lanka, Japan amongst others.

Tanushri is a graduate from the Lady Shri Ram College for Women and the Campus Law Centre, 

Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. She is a Commonwealth Scholar from the University of Cambridge, having completed an MPhil in Public Policy. She is also a certified international Mediator and a former national level basketball player. She is the recipient of the Gold award, Duke of Edinburgh, Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Delhi and other national level awards. She completed her formal training from Kathak Kendra, New Delhi and has a Masters Degree from the Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. She is further certified in Indian folk dance, Indian Contemporary and Hindustani classical music. Currently she empanelled with the Ministry of Culture and is on cultural expert committees of various Ministries of the Government of India.

 

At Shrinkhala, she endeavors to spearhead research and training in the performing arts and create socially relevant artistic productions in diverse philosophical and historical contexts.

  • Choreographed an Indian Classical Fusion dance with 50 dancers for an event by the Lalit Kala Akademi.

  • Executed a project with 100 folk dancers- First International Kala Mela, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India.

  • Undertook a social initiative project for cancer patients- Cd Foundation, ONGC New Delhi.

  • ‘Ya Devi’ with Devika Dance Theatre, New Delhi, to raise awareness and generate support for orphans of Katyayani Balika Ashram.

  • Choreographed numerous event shows, school annual days, college productions eg. DPS International, Pathways World School, Air Force School, Birla Vidya Niketan, Gargi College, IP College for Women, Kamla Nehru College, Jesus and Mary College, Ashoka University etc.

  • Republic Day choreographies

  • Executed numerous corporate shows for Indian Oil, ONGC, SBI, PCRA etc.

  • Projects in collaboration with various embassies. 

  • Done over 1000 shows at various venues across India including festivals under ICCR, Sangeet Natak Academy, Sahitya Kala Parishad, other Govt. departments, Kathak Kendra etc.
